The Wines
Barolo DOCG Bricco Rocca
A hallmark of traditional Barolo production showcasing the finesse of MGA Bricco Rocca.
This wine is fermented in open-top tonneau with approximately 30 days of skin maceration.
As with all his Barolo wines it is aged in old barrique (8 to 10 year old barrique) for 18 months.
Terrazze del Pelorosso
TDP is a new wine. Production of this wine began in 2021. The 2023 release will be Barolo DOCG as the vineyard is now certified.
The wine is made in a large open top tonneau with between 10 – 30 % whole bunch at the base, a further portion is foot pressed and the remainder is crushed and de-stemmed. It is typically macerated for 15 to 20 days. In 2021 and 2022 the wine is aged in old oak for 12 months.
Barolo Riserva DOCG
Riserva del Fico is the pinnacle of Sergio’s wines. Harvested from the highest, most southern facing portion of the Bricco Rocca vineyard surrounded by a large shading fig tree.
Barbera d’Alba DOC
Melia is a force to be reckoned with. The moniker of Sergio’s mother. This wine is a departure from the lineup of Nebbiolo based wines and showcases the power and potential of Barbera with deep colour, high fresh acidity balanced with fresh fruit.
Wilson Brut Nature and Brut
This metodo classico is Sergio’s version of Nebbione. Nebbione is the name of a group project now crafted by 15 different producers in Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta. This wine is produced from 100% Nebbiolo by harvesting the bottom of grape bunches from the Bricco Rocca and Pelorosso vineyards three weeks prior to the Barolo harvest.
Minimum 40 months on lees.
