About Us
Sergio Molino
Sergio was born and raised in Frazione Annuziata, La Morra, into a wine making family started by his father Ernesto Molino along with his mother Amelia. After the passing of his father, Sergio’s older brothers focused on consulting and sold grapes instead of making wine. At the same time, Sergio started consulting to wine producers under the guidance of his older brother Pierluigi when he was 18 years old. In 2008, Sergio produced his first vintage of Bricco Rocca under the same label of his father. He continues to consult other producers predominantly in Piemonte. In his spare time he likes to make his own wine labels on his old Toshiba at the kitchen table while watching Formula 1.
Alena Wilson
After 15 years as a practicing oil and gas exploration and operations geologist in Canada, Alena switched adventures and moved to Europe to study wine. Following completion of a Masters of Science in Viticulture and Enology through the Vinifera program and timed perfectly with the pandemic she started her PhD at the University of Torino studying climate change and potential mitigation strategies in Viticulture. Now, after recently completing the PhD she finds herself happily farming Sergio’s grapes and trying to help him with time management. Among her many talents, website building ranks low.
